Sailesh Kolanu Interview: I like to be my films self-distinct, happy that ‘Hit 3’ is providing a dramatic experience to the audience

Hit: Third caseOr Hit 3The cheer has been brought to the box office. Two days after the release of the Telugu film, Nani and Srinidhi Shetty starrer, which has also been dubbed in other languages, is relieved, happy and gratitude.

He said, “I finally got caught in sleep. I survived for one or two hours in the last two months, sometimes instead of going home in the car, when the film’s post-production was going on,” he says, settling for an interview at the production house wall poster cinema office in Hyderabad. On the day of release, he watched the film in Prasad Multiplex and Sudarshan Theater to gauge the audience’s response. “It is great to see energy in theaters and to satisfy the full hall.”

Excerpt from interview:

When you work on the film for a year or more, you are very close to the material at every stage – writing, executed and post production. How seriously are you capable of evaluating the film?

We lose objectives because we are marrying the material. We have to remind ourselves of the intentions and enthusiasm with which we started the film. It leads us to the finish line. Sometimes during post-production, I take a two-week break, see the footage again to make a better assessment of it. This is difficult. Fortunately, I can spot when things go wrong and discuss with their team what can be done.

Before we analyze the film, tell us about the joy and challenges of actors directing us, about whom you have been a big fan – in Venkatesh RheumaticAnd grandmother in Hit 3,

Initially, going to the set and calling the stars ‘action’ and ‘cut’, which I used to praise a lot. Gradually, I tell myself that there is a job in hand; I have been assigned to make a good film. It took me a week to stop treating a grandmother like a star. They also gave me one thing to put me comfortably.

In two examples Hit 3Dialogues refer to Nani’s career and image. These are fanboy moments. How do you decide how many fans can be served even after being true for the story?

These dialogues were not included in the film and were not included. As I was working on the script, I felt that these ‘meta’ would be fun for references. Those moments are getting great response in theaters as they work in terms of the actor as well as in the context of the story.

1 hit And Hit 2 Was based on true events. The hit 3 is about a gang working on the dark web. Is it imaginary, but inspired by many real -life events? The film mentions BTK passing, but it is a separate case of a serial killer in the United States, which was handed over after three decades.

Many sects work on the dark web. We did extensive research and also approached the cybercrime wing in Hyderabad to help. Issues on the dark web are deep and real, we exaggerated the film for the sake of the film.

Vikram Rudraju (The first film has Vishwak Sen) and the third film has his weaknesses in Arjun Sarkar (Nani). The east is PTSD and the latter midlife is on the verge of crisis. Does these police intend to make more human?

Yes, these symptoms – Vikram’s anxiety attacks and Arjun’s high blood pressure and relationship struggle – make them more reliable to the audience rather than invincible police.

You underline the personal life of Arjun Sarkar, but only tell what is necessary, to trust the audience …

I felt enough to show some aspects – his friction with his father, praise for grandmother and emptiness after his mother’s death – people to sympathize with him. There are moments when it breaks. It establishes that he is not a cold man he is excluding.

The first two movies in Kill Universe or Kill-Wars played like whodunnit crime novels. The third starts in a similar way but goes into a high action zone. How happy are you with amalgamation?

Very happy. This is what we wanted to give the audience a dramatic experience. I wanted the infection to be comfortable, so that the audience does not have a disconnection Kill-bridegroom. We started with investigation and infection in a survival thriller.

The background score of Mickey J Mayor is quite unconventional. What was your brief description for you?

My brief description for them was to place the audience on the edge of their seats, and they had to be rebuked during dramatic moments. We wanted the music to work in the background, without pretending emotions or shouting for attention. I like it in this way. I want people to say that they watch a good film, instead of music or any other aspect. A film has to work overall. His music was in the field of a new era, using the collision and rhythm.

The choice of the opponent (the name to avoid spoiling) is also interesting. You cast someone who is contrary to the Macho villain that we usually see in Telugu cinema?

I like this actor’s work very much. If you notice, when he attains Arjun Sadar, he is sociable and gradually his deep side comes out. We did not disclose a backstory to address the questions, how he is, because he cannot justify his behavior. In fact, many serial killers, such as shown on Netflix DaharDo not know the reason for their behavior.

Production designer Mr. Nagendra Tangla mentioned three layers in the design, and a backstory of the hideout. can you elaborate?

A part of the explanation is in the film. The Rivaraside Palace in the Northeast of Burma is 150 years old. After it was a palace, it served as a hospital and was then left. Each frame has three layers of detailing. Stop any frame in these parts of the film and notice any palace ruins, hospital ramps or small boards, or new bamboo structures that are holding the broken pillars together. The boxing ring is one of the new wood structures. The audience is likely to notice several fine details when watching repeatedly.

The first two films in writing did not have many loose ends, but this time some questions were faced. One belongs to how the opponent did not investigate the new members, especially Arjun Sarkar. Can it be argued that even though a photo has been discovered, it cannot help because the imaginary homeside intervention team works in the background unlike mainstream police?

I like to be my films myself, but let me explain. It is good that people are raising such questions. But I have done my research. We do not have enough facial identification in India with what I know. If this is available, many crime cases can be easily resolved. Only popular faces can be discovered. We do not even have a comprehensive DNA database to identify people. I take care while writing; If there are laps, I have to answer 100 people on the set while filming.

How does an officer with fast observation skills come, which does not notice or miss Sridala (Srinidhi Shetty) from earlier days? Can it be held responsible for a cinematic license?

I had been a lecturer for almost a decade and let me know that leaving some bright students, who I am in touch, I do not remember the faces of others. In this film, the police officer was only a guest lecturer.

Is Vikram Rudraju (World) still on a rest? Did you not want to rope him even for a cameo?

It was already a stretch to step into helping KD (Adivi Sesh). Must have taken Vikram too far to show it to enter. Although it would have been designed for a great dramatic moment, let me save it for one of the later films.

Bilingual actor (unknown name to avoid a spiler) Hit 4 Already investigative police have been part of plays. Your film will have to raise the bar.

Absolutely. The main idea of crime and story is ready, but I am yet to get the script out.

What will happen next?

I will start writing my next film, which can be a romantom or a fun film, without blood and gore. This will help me return to this police universe with a new approach.
