Chennai: Saira Rahman, an estrayed wife of composer AR Rahman, has wished the music Mestro to recover faster, as he was hospitalized after symptoms of dehydration. He further clarified that the two were separated and not divorced and urged the media counsel not to refer to her as his ex -wife.
Saira expressed his desire to support her ex -husband Rahman, who also accepts to recover from surgery in her difficult times. Rahman’s ex -wife was recently admitted to the hospital due to a medical emergency.
In a statement issued through his lawyers Vandana Shah and colleagues, Saira Rahman said, “AR is in my prayers and I wish him healthy health. In this difficult time, I stand with him because I also overcome my surgery and wish him a quick recovery. Mrs. Saira Rahman was signed in the statement.
In an audio message with the statement, he said, “Hi, everyone is here Saira Rahman. I wished him a quick recovery and got Muje News that there was any chest pain.

Saira Banu and AR Rahman announced their separation on November 19, 2024 after nearly 29 years of marriage. In a statement shared by Saira’s lawyer, Vandana Shah, the couple said that her decision was due to “significant emotional stress” in her relationship. Rahman and Saira got married in 1995 and shared three children-Khatija, Rahema and Amin.
The hospital said in a statement that the Oscar winner Sangeet Maestro, who was suffering from the symptoms of dehydration, was discharged from Apollo Hospital in Chennai today after a regular investigation.
Director of the medical services of the hospital, Dr. RK Venkatasalam said, “AR Rahman visited Apollo Hospitals, this morning was discharged after Grams Road and regular check -up with symptoms of dehydration.”
Earlier today, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shared a health update on Oscar winning composer AR Rahman.
Stalin took on his Twitter handle to share the current health status of music composer Rahman. He said that the music mastro is fine and will return home soon.
He wrote, “As soon as I heard the news that Isaipuyal @Arrahman was admitted to the hospital due to sick health, I contacted the doctors and questioned about his health! He said that he is fine and will come back home soon!”
