Mumbai: Filmmaker Sajid Khan revealed that the 2007 film Hei Baby was originally written for actor Ferdin Khan, but later went to superstar Akshay Kumar, who also made it fun during the dubbing session.
Sajid, who was a guest at the podcast of Bharti Singh and Harash Limbachia, traveled to Memory Lane and talked about his debut directorial and cheerful scene, which after giving a change to the child is about the diaper thrown on Akshay’s face in the film.
He recalled: “The diaper scene in ‘Hei Baby’ was originally written for Ferdin Khan. It was always part of the script. Ferdane is known for his style, so the contrast was the meaning of the contrast – it would show it on his face.” Sajid said: “All this recovered by the morning of shooting.
We were discussing the scene and planning to use some paint for the effect. Suddenly, Ferdin said, ‘Sajid, I cannot do this.’ I asked him why. He said, ‘This is a child, a man. I cannot do that. “” Akshay Kumar was sitting next to him and said immediately, “Put it on me! Put it on me!” I said, ‘Kaya!’, “The filmmaker said.
In addition, recalling the scene she shot by him, Sajid said: “So in the scene, Ferdine tries to protect himself, sees dirt on Akshay, and reacts with hatred-” Evav. “Akshay replied” Nonsense! “When we went for dubbing, and the diaper was covering Akshay’s face, he placed a line in a line, which had a ritual and was laughing at me directly for five days.
“He said, ‘Ooh! Pea Velle Rice!” Sajid said, “Akshay is one of the funny people with whom I have ever worked. His comic timing is just incredible.” Hey baby stars Akshay Kumar, Pardin Khan, Ritish Deshmukh, Vidya Balan, Juna Sanghi and Boman Irani.
The story of this film is desertly based on the Malayalam film Thovsparasham, a conversion of the American film Three Main and A Baby based on the French film Three Main and A Cardle.
Sajid then said how he never helped anyone for his debut with “Hei Baby”. “When I became a filmmaker in 2007, I had never helped anyone before. Not once. Before Hei Baby in 2007, I made a short film for Darna Zaruri Hai.
It portrayed Manoj Pahwa in a cemetery scene, “Sajid said. He said: I wanted to make something in the style of Hollywood, so I brought two assistants from Ram Gopal Varma’s office. I was given four days to complete it and managed to wrap it in three and a half.
The entire film costs around 6-7 lakhs, of which Manoj took 1 lakh. I originally did it for free. This was my first break as a writer-director. ,
