Mumbai: The personal life of Bollywood’s favorite superstar Salman Khan, especially his decision to remain unmarried at the age of 59, remains a mystery. Despite being linked with actresses like Katrina Kaif, Sangeeta Bijlani and Somi Ali, the actor is yet to settle down. Now, an old clip of Salman’s father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, shedding light on his unmarried status has resurfaced and gone viral.
In a candid chat with Komal Nahta, Salim Khan talked about the contradictions in Salman’s mindset that might have been stopping him from tying the knot. He said, ‘I don’t know what Salman is… Salman doesn’t get married because there is a slight contradiction in his thinking. Not married).”
Salim Khan revealed that Salman often forms romantic bonds with his co-stars because of the closeness and chemistry they share while working together. He said, “Salman ka lagao ya mohabbat… he is attracted to the person he works with. They are very exciting, good looking people. Interaction happens while working. People come closer because they live in a close environment. So 90 percent of the time she is the heroine of that film (Salman is mostly attracted towards the heroines of his films because they work in a close environment).
However, Salim Khan revealed that Salman often looks for the qualities of his mother Salma Khan in his partners. He further said, “When the commitment is made, he tries to convert it, finds us his mother. Woh toh sambhav nahi hai (After commitment, he tries to change them and finds his mother in her, which is not possible).”

Salim Khan further explained that Salman’s expectations may not be in line with modern relationships. She said that Salman often expects his partner to give up her career and devote herself to domestic duties. “Why should anyone be deprived of his main marriage status? Usaka wahi hota hai (Why should she be deprived of her ambitions by marrying her and asking her to stay at home?).”
She also revealed that Salman expects his partner to handle household responsibilities like raising the children, helping them in their studies and other daily chores, which is not practical for career-oriented women.
Meanwhile, Salman is focusing on his professional commitments. He is gearing up for the release of Sikandar with Rashmika Mandanna, a film that has already created a lot of buzz.
