New Delhi: The most talked about wedding of this year – Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer IqbalThe finally became husband and wife on June 23, 2024. In the morning, the couple went for a civil marriage and later in the night, all the lights were lit up with stars. The newlyweds made a grand entry into the venue together, all showered with love – thanking the paps on duty.
Sonakshi wore a ‘Chand Buta’ brocade raw mango saree, beautiful jewellery and a prominent sindoor. Zaheer looked dapper dressed in white. The couple posed outside the rooftop restaurant Bastian which is famous for its Asian-inspired modern cuisine.
Several celebrities made their grand entry at the wedding reception. One of the first to arrive at the restaurant was Sonakshi’s ‘Heeramandi’ co-star Aditi Rao Hydari and her fiancé (and South Indian star) Siddharth. Zaheer’s ‘Ruslaan’ co-star Aayush Sharma, who is Salman Khan’s brother-in-law and played Cupid for the newlyweds, was also one of the first to arrive.
Grand Entrance Salman Khan Among those who attended the event with their peers were Bollywood superstars Saira Bano, Huma Qureshi and her brother Saqib Saleem, Anil Kapoor, Chunky Panday and Kajol, who wore a hand-painted Shivan-Naresh silk sari.
Manisha Koirala, The ‘Hiramandi’ singer sent flowers to extend her wishes as she could not attend the wedding due to prior commitments.
DJ Ganesh, known for his diverse music, performed live at the reception.
Sonakshi and Zaheer have been dating each other for the last seven years. It is said that Salman introduced Sonakshi to Zaheer on the sets of ‘Notebook’ in 2017.
