Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has released the first look of the much-awaited docuseries ‘Angry Young Men: The Salim-Javed Story’.
Salman shared the poster on his Instagram account on Saturday. He expressed his excitement about taking this important story to audiences across the world.
Salman also captioned the poster, “Salim Khan as Javed Akhtar as Angry Young Man” #AngryYoungMan on Prime, new series, August 20th.
This documentary series will take viewers on the journey of Salim-Javed, the legendary screenwriting duo who revolutionised Hindi cinema in the 1970s with their powerful storytelling, the men behind some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters of that era, including Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewar, Yaadon Ki Baaraat and Don.
This legendary duo has given many unforgettable films to Indian cinema, with Sholay being a milestone in cinematic history. Their other notable films include Seeta Aur Geeta, Trishul, Shaan, Shakti and Kaala Patthar.
Produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media and Entertainment and Tiger Baby, Angry Young Men is executive produced by Salman Khan along with Salma Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
The series marks the directorial debut of Namrata Rao and features personal narratives from Salim-Javed as well as thoughts from notable personalities of Indian cinema.
Angry Young Men will be available exclusively on Prime Video, reaching audiences in more than 240 countries and territories, including India.
