Mumbai: Former actress Sangeeta Bijlani recently appeared on Indian Idol, where she shared details about her life, including the restrictions imposed on her during her relationship with Salman Khan. Reflecting on her past, Sangeeta revealed that she once followed rules imposed by her ex, which limited her clothing choices.
Sangeeta opened up about her youthful days and said that she now regrets that she allowed someone to dictate her choices. Without directly naming Salman, she revealed that her ex had imposed strict rules on her attire. “Joe na, my ex. I will not take names. I was very strict that ‘You can’t wear short dresses, the neck can’t look this deep, the dress can’t be shorter than this particular length,'” she said.
He admitted that initially he wore what he liked, but later he was forced to follow these restrictions. Pointing to her current attire, a knee-length blue dress, she proudly announced her newfound confidence and independence, “Now, I’m nothing like this. I am a complete hooligan. I am not afraid anymore. I was very reserved then. I would like to change that part of my life. But, anyway, I changed it. I am who I am now.
Sangeeta and Salman Khan were deeply in love with each other in the late 1980s and early 1990s and their relationship made a lot of headlines. Their wedding was reportedly well planned and invitations were even printed. However, this relationship ended suddenly.
