Hyderabad: Film producer and Chairman of Telangana Film Development Corporation, Dil Raju has shared that Mr. Tej, son of Sandhya theater tragedy victim and Revathi who lost her life in the incident, is responding well to treatment and is doing well. Was removed from the ventilator two days ago.
Dil Raju went to KIMS hospital in Secunderabad, Hyderabad to meet Mr Tej’s family. Speaking to ANI, he revealed that he had earlier met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to discuss providing assistance to Mr. Tej’s family, ensuring that both the film industry and the government would provide all necessary assistance. .
Dil Raju said, “He (the child injured in the evening theater incident during the premiere show of Pushpa 2) is responding and recovering… He was removed from the ventilator two days ago.”
Mr Tej’s father Baskar also spoke to the media and shared a positive update, saying that his son is slowly recovering.
Earlier, producers of Pushpa 2, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, handed over a check of Rs 50 lakh to the victim’s family at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad, in the presence of Telangana Minister for Roads and Buildings and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. This check was received by the father of Revati’s husband, Mr. Tej, who is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The tragic incident happened on December 4, when Allu Arjun attended the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. A huge crowd gathered to watch him and the situation escalated when he waved to fans from the sunroof of his car. Revathi lost her life and her son Mr. Tej was injured. Following the incident, Allu Arjun was arrested and later released on bail after furnishing a bond of Rs 50,000.
Another twist in the case came when the Pushpa actor was served a notice to appear for questioning in connection with the Sandhya theater tragedy.
The notice issued by the Telangana Police read, “The matter is under investigation, and your presence is required before the undersigned officer to know the answers regarding the incident and, if necessary, the crime scene to ascertain the true facts.” “Visit.”
Actor Allu Arjun has returned to his residence after appearing at Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad in connection with the incident.
On 22 December, a group of protesters demanding justice for Revathi attacked Allu Arjun’s residence.
According to DCP West Zone, Hyderabad, the group arrived with placards in their hands and shouting slogans. A man climbed the compound wall and started throwing stones, prompting security personnel to intervene. During the dispute, the protesters damaged flower pots and assaulted the security personnel.
Six persons claiming to be members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC) were detained and later granted bail.
Political controversy has also erupted over this incident. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy blamed Allu Arjun for the tragedy, saying in the Assembly that the police had refused to allow any program at the Sandhya Theater due to security concerns.
However, the actor rejected the allegations and called it an attempt at “character assassination”.
