Mumbai: Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has given a big casting information and announced that superstar Sanjay Dutt will join the cast of the much-awaited ‘Housefull 5’.
Known for his knack for bringing together stellar artistes, Nadiadwala expressed his immense happiness at collaborating once again with his old friend and colleague Dutt.
Recalling his close bond with the celebrated producer, Sanjay Dutt said, “Sajid Nadiadwala has been like family to me since the beginning of my journey.” He added, “I am thrilled to be working with him again in Housefull 5 and look forward to many more collaborations in the future.”

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, ‘Housefull 5’ will be a historical film in the Housefull franchise, the entire story of which will be based on a cruise ship.
The setting is a first for the Hindi cinema franchise, aimed at enhancing the essence of humour and camaraderie that the series is famous for.
The film stars many stars like Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan and now Sanjay Dutt.
Releasing on June 6, 2025, ‘Housefull 5’ is all set to deliver laughter, love and timeless entertainment to audiences across the world.
Apart from this, Sanjay Dutt has recently wrapped up the shooting of his much-awaited project ‘Double iSmart’, which also stars Ram Pothineni in the lead role.
Puri Connects, the production house of the film, recently broke the news to fans with a new poster and captioned the post, “#Doublesmart shoot complete. Grand WW release on 15th Aug. Get ready for the Dimaak Ki Kirikiri experience in cinemas.”
The poster features Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar in a romantic pose, which is taken from a song from the film.
Meanwhile, the entire shooting of the film has been completed and post-production work is also underway.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film also stars Kavya Thapar, Bani J, Getup Srinu and Ali in pivotal roles. The makers have also released the song ‘Steppamaar’ which has received a positive response from the audience.
This sizzling dance number is sung by Nakash Aziz, Sahiti and written by Moshin while the music is by Mani Sharma. Recently, the makers also released the teaser of the film.
The teaser features Ram Pothineni reprising his lead role, and once again, he finds himself in trouble.
The teaser gives glimpses of Ram’s character flirting and dancing with girls before taking on Sanjay Dutt’s formidable character Big Bull, which marks the Bollywood actor’s debut in Telugu cinema.
The teaser sets the stage for an intense contest between Ram and Sanjay, with an interesting fight scene shown near a Shivalinga.
‘Double iSmart’, which is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘iSmart Shankar’, is produced by Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh, with Sam K Naidu and Gianni Gianelli handling the cinematography.
Renowned music composer Mani Sharma has returned to compose the music for the film. The film will be released in multiple languages ​​including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
The original film iSmart Shankar was a huge box office success, although it received mixed reviews due to the portrayal of the lead character and controversial scenes.
While Nabha Natesh’s character had a tragic end in the first part, the fate of Nidhi Agarwal’s character is still unknown, leaving fans curious about the story of the sequel.
