On the occasion of the anniversary of the 20th death of legendary actor and politician Sunil Dutt, his son, actor Sanjay Dutt, took his father on social media to share his life and express his father’s deep impact on shaping his life.

On May 25, 2005, Sunil Dutt died not only as a prominent actor, but also left a legacy as a column of strength and humility to his family and public.

In a touching Instagram post, Sanjay shared a series of photographs, some of which showed his childhood and his father with his film career.

The first image captured a young Sanjay smiling next to his father, while the other showed a reputed film from his famous film Munna Bhai MBBS, a film that was synonymous with the on-screen chemistry of the father-son pair.

In his emotional caption, Sanjay Dutt reflected on flexibility and courage and his father taught him.

Along with Sanjay, his sister, Priya Dutt also shared an emotional tribute to his late father.

In her post, Priya talked about how Sunil Dutt never asked for recognition or glory, despite her influence in the film industry and politics.

Sunil Dutt, who died at the age of 75 after a heart attack, was not only known for her prestigious roles in Hindi cinema, but also for her contribution to public service.

Sunil Dutt, who is known for her brilliant performance in classics like ‘Mother India, “Wat,” Padosan, and’ Sadhana ‘, left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.

Her romance with actress Nargis, which began dramatically on the set of ‘Mother India’ when she saved her from fire, became one of Bollywood’s most funded love stories.

The couple married on March 11, 1958 and together with three children Sanjay, Priya and Namrata Dutt.

The Dutt family faced significant challenges, especially with the Battle of Nargis with pancreatic cancer, which claimed her life on 3 May 1981.

Despite these difficulties, Sunil Dutt remained a pillar of strength, for both his family and his fans.

Apart from his cinematic achievements, Sunil Dutt contributed significantly to Indian politics.

He joined the Congress party in 1984 and worked as a Member of Parliament for five consecutive terms, representing the Mumbai North West Constituency until his death.

Sunil Dutt’s last film presence was in ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, where he shared the screen with Sanjay, which created a memorable moments that fans still cherish.
