Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan pens a heartfelt note for her niece Samaira and nephew Kiyan for their late father Sanjay Kapoor’s birth anniversary, Saying that his father is “always protecting you.”
Kareena took to her Instagram stories, where she reposted the picture originally shared by her sister Karisma Kapoor. It contained a cake with “Happy Birthday Dad” written on it.
On re-sharing the picture, Kareena wrote: “My father Samu and Qiu are always protecting you.”

This comes amid a legal battle over his assets worth Rs 30,000 crore. It was in June, when Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband Sanjay Kapoor died of a heart attack after swallowing a bee.

On October 15, the hearing in the Delhi High Court on the property dispute of late industrialist Sanjay Kapoor was quite dramatic.
The cracks in Priya Kapoor’s defense widen as her lawyer Rajeev Nair struggles to defend a will that appears to be riddled with inconsistencies. Justice Jyoti Singh criticized the claims made by Priya Sachdeva through her lawyer ignoring the court proceedings.
Priya’s legal representative relied heavily on technical objections, as they argued that Sanjay’s children, Samaira and Kiyan, had failed to formally challenge the will in their suit for partition. However, Justice Singh waived his procedural safeguards.
Their comments indicate how Rajiv’s arguments focused on form rather than substance and did little to dispel the deep doubts surrounding the March 21, 2025 document, which claimed to leave most of Sanjay’s personal assets to his third wife, Priya.
Responding to this, Rajiv said that it was read out only to him. Justice Singh then added, “So how can he be expected to challenge something he has not even seen?”
The allegedly forged will, which is the bone of contention in the case, is full of serious mistakes, and was signed just days before the demise of Sanjay Kapoor, who was known for his attention to detail.
Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, legal representative of actress Karisma Kapoor’s children Samaira and Kiyan, told the court, “These are not innocent slips. These are the fingerprints of a forged hand, a hand unknown to the man it pretends to be.”
He argued that the will was “false in spirit and intent”, designed to exclude Sanjay’s own children and mother from their inheritance.
Both the children have accused Sanjay Kapoor’s third wife Priya Kapoor of tampering with his will and trying to usurp his entire property. In a petition filed in the Delhi High Court, the siblings have demanded that one-fifth of the property be given to them as they are the legal heirs of Sanjay Kapoor.
The children have claimed through their legal representatives that they were in regular contact with their father through regular meetings, visits, stays, holidays, video and voice calls and messages one-to-one or in various WhatsApp groups.
