Actor Santhanam’s hit horror-comedy film dd returns, The film, which released last year, received positive reviews but is now getting a sequel. S Prem Anand, who directed the original film, is set to return as the director of the sequel.
Produced by Niharika Entertainment, The Show People and Handmade Films, the film has a huge budget and will be presented by actor Arya. The actor has previously worked with Santhanam in several films such as Oru Kalluriyain Kathai, Boss Engira Bhaskaran, Chikku Bukku, Settai, Raja Rani And Vasuvum saravananam onna padichavanga.
In a statement issued by the producers, director Prem Anand said, “DD Returns ‘Dangal’, which released in July last year, received a great response from audiences across all sections. We were working on the script of its sequel for the last one year and have recently completed it. From children to adults, everyone will laugh and enjoy watching this film.”
He said, “The story of this film starts from a cruise ship and takes place on an island. We are going to build the sets with a very big budget. It is great that Niharika Entertainment, actor Arya and Santhanam have teamed up to produce this film. It will be more exciting and hilarious than ever before. DD ReturnsThis film will be an entertaining experience for fans of all age groups.”
Deepak Kumar Padhi will handle the cinematography of the sequel while Ofro will compose the music. Bharath is in charge of editing and AR Mohan will handle the art direction. The film’s pooja took place yesterday and the shooting is expected to begin soon.
