Mumbai: Actress Sara Ali Khan is loving being back in New York, the city where she weighed “96 kilos”. Sara shared a few pictures from New York on Instagram Stories.
Showing off her curvy physique in athleisure, the actress can be seen sipping coffee in a white crop top paired with red shorts and sneakers. “It’s surreal to be back in the city where I weighed 96 kgs,” Sara wrote in the caption.
The actress was reminiscing her student days at New York’s Columbia University, where she had gained a lot of weight.
The actress, daughter of Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, has never shied away from talking about her struggle with polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) and obesity.
Sara spoke openly about this in the sixth season of ‘Koffee with Karan’.
However, before entering the industry with the 2018 film ‘Kedarnath’ starring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Sara regularly did workouts like cardio, Pilates, and yoga followed by a simple diet to lose the excess weight.
The 28-year-old granddaughter of late legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore next starred in ‘Simmba’ opposite Ranveer Singh.
Sara, who was featured in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list of 2019, was then seen in films like ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Atrangi Re’, ‘Gaslight’, ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, ‘Murder Mubarak’ and ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’.
The actress will next be seen in ‘Metro…In Dinon’ directed by Anurag Basu. After this, she will be seen in the action thriller ‘Sky Force’ directed by Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani.
The film reportedly also stars Akshay Kumar, Vir Pahadia, Nimrat Kaur, Sharad Kelkar and Suniel Shetty, and is based on India’s counter-attack on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase in the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war.
