Mumbai: The lead cast of ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ paid an emotional tribute to Satish Shah by singing the title track of ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ at the crematorium in Mumbai on Sunday.
The actor died on Saturday at the age of 74 due to kidney complications.

The lead cast of ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ including Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, Rajesh Kumar, Jamnadas Majethia, Deven Bhojani and others attended the funeral of Satish Shah in Mumbai.

Rupali Ganguly started crying bitterly during the funeral. JD Majethia was seen consoling him.
Rajesh Kumar and Sumeet’s eyes also became moist while praying in front of the mortal remains of Satish Shah at the crematorium.
During the musical farewell, Jamnadas Majethia, on behalf of the cast of ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, said, “Satish Bhai, we love you. We will always miss you.”
After bidding an emotional goodbye to his co-star Satish Shah, Jamnadas Majethia, on behalf of the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai cast, paid tribute to the actor by calling himself his “extended family” forever.
Speaking to ANI, Jamnadas Majethia said, “Satish ji was a very good artiste.” He was a good man and a magician, who had knowledge of everything.
The cast of the popular sitcom remembered the actor and urged fans to celebrate his legacy.
Jamnadas Majethia said, “Satish ji was a man who deserves to be celebrated. We (Sarabhai vs Sarabhai artistes) have always been like a family to him and will be in the future too. This is our tribute to him.”
‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ is a popular television sitcom which aired in 2004. It starred actors like Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly and Rajesh Kumar.
The show revolves around the members of the Sarabhai family, an uber rich – high society Gujarati family from Cuffe Parade – South Mumbai, whose daughter-in-law is from a middle-class Delhi background.
As far as late actor Satish Shah is concerned, the actor’s diverse filmography includes popular hits like the satirical black comedy ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ (1983), ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Shaadi No. 1’.
Despite his memorable roles in cinema, Shah’s portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai in the television series ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ remains one of the most iconic comedic performances in Indian TV history.
