Sardaar 2 released son postponed: Ajay Devgan’s comedy riot now hits screen on this date

A few days before being set for the storm in theaters, the release of Ajay Devgan and Mrinal Thakur’s much awaited comedy-drama ‘son’ of Sardar 2 has been officially postponed. The film, which was first slate for July 25, 2025, was released, now on 1 August will be killed worldwide with the birthday of Mrinal Thakur.

The announcement came up with a new poster shared by the makers, in which read, “Jassi Paaji and Toli will see you on 1 August 2025 in theaters worldwide.”

While the producers are fed up with the specific reason behind the shift, internal sources suggest that the decision is carefully dominating theaters to benefit another film’s box office performance, ‘Siara’.

Debutant Ahaan Pandey starrer, ‘Sera’ is open for a strong ₹ 20 crore and continues to gain momentum with an impressive word-mouth. Its second day collection has already crossed ₹ 9 crore, and trade analysts are predicting that it can easily touch the mark of ₹ 40 crore in the coming days.

A smart industry seems to be a trick, ‘Sardar 2’s son’ has made a way to spread his dramatic run for ‘Siara’. A source close to Vikas told Pinkvilla, “This is a very well thought out step for the betterment of the industry.” A second trailer also works for ‘Son of Sarda 2’, the specialty of the update release date.

‘Sardaar 2’s son’ to hit ‘Dhadak 2’

The film will now cope with ‘Dhadak 2’ at the box office, establishing an interesting Friday clash. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, ‘Putra of Sardar 2’ includes Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Pandey, Deepak Dobriyal and the late Mukul Dev.

Supported by Jio Studios and Devgn films, and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, the film promises a fun ride when he landed in theaters on August 1, 2025.
