Pakistani actor Hansia Aamir’s growing backlash on casting Sardar G3Several major corners including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Javed Akhtar, and Imtiaz Ali have spoken in support of the prominent actor and co-producer Diljit Dosanjh.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) asked to take strict action against Dosanj, including cancellation of his Indian citizenship. Their demand announced that Sardar G3 Will not be released in India, a decision made by its producers in view of the Pahalgam terror attack. The film shot before the incident was released abroad on 27 June.
BJP national spokesperson RP Singh publicly supported Dosanj, called him “a global ambassador to a national property and Indian culture”. In a post on X, Singh criticized FWIC’s demands as “shocking incompatible”, given that the film was completed before the Pahalgam attack and before any ban on border cross -border cooperation.
He further questioned the selective resentment, stating that India’s cricket team played against Pakistan shortly before the attack and television networks regularly offer Pakistani guests. “Let’s do not make nationalism or weapons cheaper patriotism,” he wrote, urged FWICE and urged him to rethink his situation.
Punjab BJP’s Culture Cell Convenor and actor Hobby Dhaliwal echoed Bhavna during a press conference in Chandigarh. “Diljit is the son of this earth. Punjab stands with him – and India too,” he said, called criticism “inappropriate” and “politically inspired”.
Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar also came to protect Dosanjh during an interview recently. NDTVWhen informed that Sardar G3 He was shot before the attack, he said, “USKO PATA toh Nahi Tha Ki Aisa Hoga (he did not know what will happen,” saying that the government and the censor board should show some sympathy and allow release.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who is currently working on a film with Dosanj, highlighted the actor’s patriotism, saying, “He is a son of clay … he shows the Indian flag in every concert.” Ali also said that casting decisions are not only in the hands of actors.
Meanwhile, FWIC has sent a letter to Ali urged to withdraw with his cooperation with Dosanz, warning that the continuous association sends a “conflicting message.” He appealed to the Government of India to blacklist the actor and cancel his citizenship and passport.
