New Delhi: Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol, and the much -awaited patriotic thriller circle starring by Ibrahim Ali Khan took place today on the Oat platform Jio Hotstar. Directed by Kayoz Irani and supported by Dharma Productions, the film dives in the complications of terrorism in Kashmir, focused on a family separate from ideology and loyalty.
The plot follows a rigorous army officer (Prithviraj) prescribed to eradicate terrorism from Kashmir, only to face the shocking truth that his own son, Harman (played by Ibrahim Ali Khan), he can support a lot of forces against whom he is fighting. Kajol plays the role of a mother caught between the two, who brings emotional weight for a film filled with stress, betrayal and patriotism.
Written by Soumil Shukla and Arun Singh, the moral dilemma of choosing the sarzmin, national sacrifice and duties and blood relations, is around the moral dilemmas.
Social media reacts
The first film of the film provoked an immediate wave of online reactions, from the praise of its emotional core and its execution was criticized.
A user tweeted: “#Sarzameen had a solid base, but failed to distribute. Weak screenplay and Disha allowed it to go down. Earth, Kajol and other artists did well, but there was no real emotional connect. There was no real emotional connect. Overall, a mid -watch that had no standout moments.”

Another reviewer was far more enthusiastic: “#sarzameen reviews: shocking, patriotic and emotional-venting: 4/5. Finally a huge twist that you have never seen in patriotic thriller.
#Sarzameen Review: Shocking, patriotic and emotional
Rating – 4/5*The Sarzmen finally comes with a huge twist that you have never seen in a patriotic thriller before. Chilling and emotionally nervous cracking.#Prithvirajsukumar Shows what patriotism means and #Kajol, pic.twitter.com/j2o9dahmjk– $@m (@samthebestest_) 25 July, 2025
However, not all reactions were shining. A rigorous criticism read, “Review: Sergemen (2/5) – With actors like Kajol and Prithviraj, the film was promised. But it is a poor script, forced emotions and a stunning performance by Ibrahim Ali Khan. They have a screen appearance and childbirth for such a pivatal role.”
Review: Surizhemin (2/5)
The sarzmin had the ability to be an entertaining film with experienced actors like Kajol and Prithviraj.
However, the film is overshadowed by bad scripts, weak statements, excessive forced emotions and weak screen of Ibrahim Ali Khan … https://t.co/2GHJVC23YNY pic.twitter.com/h22wl6phbz– Rohit Jaiswal (@Rohitjswl01) 25 July, 2025
A third opinion highlighted the emotional ambitions of the film, but indicated its shortcomings in pacing and tone, “#SarzameenreView Kashmir a father-son conflict set, which is full of melodrama. Thrills take a backseat for heavy feelings. Kajol Shine, Critwiraj needs more polishing.
#SARZAENREVIEW#Sarzameen A father-son acts as a struggle against a Kashmir background, in which Kajol is torn between the fire between the two sides and the terrorists.
The story tries for a twist, but is lost in melodrama – thrills take a backseat for a huge feeling.

Last word
Despite these reactions, Sarzmin has interacted for its bold storyline and emotional subjects. The film mixes family drama with patriotic styles, although critics agree that uneven writing and direction reduces its full potential.
Now streaming on Jiocinema, the sarzmen is easily accessible to the audience across the country.
