New Delhi: South superstar Sai Dharam Tej is all set to make his pan-India debut with a thrilling high-action drama tentatively titled #SDT18. Directed by debutant Rohit KP and produced by K Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy of Primeshow Entertainment, the film stars Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead role alongside Tej, who is best known for his recent blockbuster ‘Hanuman’.
Set against the backdrop of the period 1947-67, the story unfolds in the rugged terrains of Rayalaseema, promising an engaging tale steeped in history. Set to be an action-packed drama, the venture comes after Sai Dharam Tej’s spectacular 2023, which included consecutive 100-crore blockbusters, ‘Virupaksha’ and Pawan Kalyan starrer ‘Bro’ in the southern film industry.
The first poster was recently unveiled by the makers, with Tej sharing the announcement on social media, saying, “My next SDT 18. It’s going to be more than special. Need all your love and blessings.”
“The film will be a big-budget extravaganza,” the makers said. Sai Dharam Tej plays a formidable character in this high-octane, period-action drama. The first shooting schedule is underway on a huge set built specifically for the film’s requirements. More details about the project will be shared soon.
With an estimated budget of Rs 100 crore, the film is set for a pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages, marking a significant milestone in the career of Sai Dharam Tej.
