Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Kim Porter’s relationship has been under public scrutiny ever since his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him. Following the lawsuit, fans are speculating whether Diddy also abused Porter during their relationship. Mogul was arrested in Manhattan on September 16 and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering. He is currently being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits his trial.

Diddy’s ‘controlling’ behavior with Kim Porter
Given that the two were together for a long time, people speculated whether Porter also suffered from Diddy’s alleged abuse. During the HOT 97 interview, a source who worked closely with the former couple opened up about their relationship. The insider reminisced about the control that the mogul exercised in her relationship with Porter. She recalled him during preparations for the 2003 MTV Awards red carpet, saying, “I particularly remember how much control he had over her”, reports the Daily Express US.
“He was literally sitting there, staring at her hair,” the insider told the media outlet. He was not happy with the way the curls went in one direction. He was like, ‘I don’t care if I miss the whole show. We’re not leaving until we fix this curl.’ And inside, I was like, ‘Wow, you’re really taking control.’ And these are just small hints.”
Diddy and Porter were in a relationship together from 1994 to 2007 and have twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, and sons Christian and Quincy Brown. Even though Quincy is the son of Porter and Al B.Sure, Diddy adopted him as his own son.

Diddy and Porter’s alleged abusive relationship
The insider also recalled some alleged instances of domestic abuse during their 13-year relationship. “I went to Atlanta when she had a new album coming out,” the insider claimed to the news outlet. One night we went to this nightclub, a pimp nightclub… and while we were going there, suddenly they had a fight, and he started hitting her with a bottle, and she threw the bottle back.
The source added, “I remember thinking, ‘Wow, she’s really standing up for herself.’ Technically, I was watching it as an employee,” the source recalled. “Then Didi turned to me and said, ‘Oh, we just The two are, you know, in love with each other.’ And I was thinking, ‘Oh my God,’ but I just said, ‘Oh, I didn’t see anything.’ And then we went to the club.”
