Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is being held at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, has spoken to his seven children, who are in a “state of shock” following their father’s arrest.
According to US weekly magazine People, the 54-year-old rapper “has been able to have brief conversations with family members and his children via phone.”
The rapper is the father of seven children, whom he shares with four different women. Diddy’s sons include Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, and Christian, 26, while he has four daughters named Chance, 18, Jessie and D’Lila, 17, and Love, 23 months.
Diddy is ‘very concerned’ about his seven kids
The phone call comes after it was reported that Diddy’s lawyers are not appealing to have him moved from the ‘Hell on Earth’ Metropolitan Detention Center in Sunset, Brooklyn.
According to an insider, Diddy is “very concerned” about his kids and “their well-being.”
“He has three minor children, two of whose parents are no longer in prison. Four of his seven children have parents who are not in prison,” the source added.
Another insider said the rapper’s kids are “in a state of distress and shock” following Diddy’s imprisonment.
Emphasizing that it’s “very sad” to see the state his kids are in, the source added, “This is their dad. But to them, he’s not Diddy — he’s Dad. He’s always been a loving, devoted father.”

Diddy shares Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila with the late actress Kim Porter, who died in 2018 at age 47.
The rapper adopted Quincy, whose parents are Porter and Al B. Sure, and shares Justin with Misa Hylton and Chance with entrepreneur Sarah Chapman.
Diddy and model Dana Tran welcomed their daughter, Love, in December 2022.
Three of Diddy’s children — Justin, Christian and Quincy — attended a New York City court hearing on Tuesday to support their father.
However, his daughters did not attend the hearing.
