Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children have spoken out after the music legend was indicted on federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering on September 16.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ children have broken their silence after the music legend was indicted on federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering on September 16. However, instead of mentioning the allegations against Diddy, they revealed the “horrible conspiracy theories” that have surfaced about their late mother and Diddy’s ex-wife Kim Porter.
‘When we lost our mother our lives fell apart’
“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors surrounding our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as our mother’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out,” Quincy Brown and Christian, Jesse and D’Lila Combs wrote in a joint statement shared on their Instagram. “The claim that our mother wrote a book is absolutely false. She did not, and anyone claiming to have the manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Also, please understand that any so-called ‘friends’ speaking on behalf of our mother or her family are not friends, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
They added, “Our lives fell apart when we lost our mother. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she left. While it is very difficult to comprehend how she was taken from us so soon, the cause of her death has long been known. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we request everyone to respect our request for peace as we struggle with her loss every day.”
“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of the most tragic event of our lives. Our mom should be remembered as the beautiful, strong, kind and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrible conspiracy theories. We ask that everyone please respect our mom, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so she can rest in peace. That’s what she deserves. We love and miss you mom. Quincy, Christian, Jesse and D’Lila,” the statement continued.
The statement referred to the alleged memoir – Kim’s Lost Words – which was published on September 6. Publisher Chris Todd claimed that he received the book from close friends with whom Porter shared a thumb drive containing the book she allegedly wrote. However, there is no documentary evidence that proves the authenticity of the book. The book calls Diddy a “terrible monster” who threatened Porter with a gun because she refused to participate in a sex act.
