Sebastian Stan plays the young Trump
Stan revealed in an interview with Empire magazine, “Working on this with Ali was like riding a mental horse through a blazing stable. We’re talking about someone about whom everybody has an opinion, about whom everybody has a perception, about whom everybody has strong feelings.”
The actor also revealed that he watched a lot of material by and about Trump to prepare for his character, including other people impersonating the politician, but he did not want his portrayal to reflect that of others. The effect is visible.

But I also had to go back to the collaboration and the vision that I was sharing with Ali,’ as reported by the Daily Express US. Stan says film makes Trump ‘normal’
The Thunderbolts actor declared that the new film “normalizes” the Republican candidate to some extent. “This film makes them normal,” he said. To some extent. It is preferred to talk about them very selectively, in a distant way. Like he’s a separate entity from all of us humans on Earth.”
He continued, “Either He is God, in the sky, who is blessed with everything, or He is incarnated in the depths of the earth like Satan. And the truth is that he is a human being.” The actor said there was a lot to “relate to” and “understand” from Trump’s journey depicted in the film. Stan added, “And to me, that’s a journey to watch a person turn to stone over time.”
