Selena Gomez no longer hangs out with Taylor Swift because she doesn’t want to spend time with Taylor’s other friends. Sources close to Gomez told Daily Express US that she avoids hanging out with Taylor partly for the above reason. Taylor is often spotted on nights out with her girl friends including Blake Lively, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice and Brittany Mahomes, excluding Gomez. The Lover singer was last photographed with Gomez in January.

Selena Gomez doesn’t hang out with Taylor Swift anymore
Taylor was spotted hanging out with her other celebrity girlfriends during the Eras Tour, but Gomez was not seen. Sources alleged that the Kill ‘Em With Kindness alum felt like an “outsider” and “has matured outside of Taylor’s circle of friends.” “She has no desire to go out with Blake, or Ice Spice, or Britney or really any of these girls,” an insider told DailyMail.com.
In February, Gomez expressed her sadness at missing out on the girls’ hangout by reacting to Swift’s photo with Lana Del Rey and Ice Spice with a sad teary face emoji in an Instagram post. The former Disney star was also unable to attend Taylor’s Rhode Island party in August. “In many ways, she feels like an outsider now. She’s not a cheerleader and never wanted to be,” the source said.
Earlier, it was also alleged that Lively and Gomez are allegedly not friends and do not get along well with each other. The two spend time separately with Taylor and this is understandable as the two are never seen together at several events hosted by Taylor such as Fourth of July parties, birthday celebrations and more.

Gomez and Taylor’s new relationship
The insider also claimed that Taylor and Gomez have grown apart because of their new relationships. Taylor is dating Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Travis Kelce while Gomez is dating musician Benny Blanco. The insider told the media outlet, “They are both focused on their careers and their relationships. Ultimately, they are both happy for each other that they are both in love at the same time.”
And while a double date night would be the perfect plan to go along with, the insider added, “They know a double date is out of the question because their men will literally have nothing to talk about.”
Another source said that the reason they don’t spend much time together is that the two artists are balancing their careers and relationships. The insider told the media outlet, “Life is getting busy, in a good way, which is why Taylor and Selena don’t hang out often anymore. Taylor is on her biggest tour yet and trying to handle that while also meeting Travis. Selena is busy with Only Murders in the Building and her relationship with Benny. They just don’t have enough hours in the day to have fun.”
The source also confirmed that this is not the end of Taylor and Gomez’s friendship. The insider added, “It’s one of those friendships where if they were in the same room, no matter how much time has passed, they would pick up where they left off. They will likely see each other at awards ceremonies in the future or if they’re in the same city and maybe go to dinner.”
