On December 9, The Emilia Perez Star’s breakout star Selena Gomez received the coveted Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress, a recognition that marks a significant milestone in her career. Just a day later, she attended the Academy Women’s Luncheon presented by Chanel with Ariana Grande. “I’m overwhelmed, very honored and grateful,” the singer told People Magazine.

Gomez talks about ‘isolating’ industry
During her keynote speech, Gomez highlighted, “I know firsthand how isolating this industry can feel sometimes, but moments like this and rooms like this, and all these amazing women. Talking reminds me that I’m not alone, and we’re not alone. She then gestured to her table of supporters, which included Grande, Amy Adams, Pamela Anderson, Awkwafina, Gal Gadot, Rita Wilson, Mila Kunis and Olivia Wilde.
Gomez shared on the red carpet that she focuses on the small positive things amid the chaos of negativity. “It’s humor to me,” he told People magazine. I know people say it’s a defense mechanism, however, I think it’s just a distraction from all the noise sometimes. And just to laugh with your friends or do something that brings you some light.
For others who may feel lonely in Hollywood, the Same Old Love singer offered help. She said, “For the young women watching us, I just want you to know that you are heard and you are seen, and that your perspective matters deeply. And if you ever feel lonely at an event, I’m usually playing some weird game on my phone. Just come to me, and I’ll be happy to talk.”
He added, “When we share and stand together, we create an impact that extends far beyond our own lives. hence incidents like [this] They are very important, they are a celebration of our collective achievements, but they are also a reminder of the work we still have to do.

Gomez and Grande share friendship moment
Gomez shared that the Thank U, Next singer was one of the first people to call and congratulate her after the nominations were announced on Monday. “Ariana texted me and it was the sweetest note and it was about six in the morning,” he shared, reports Variety.
The two also shared adorable comments on social media. Gomez posted a photo of herself with Grande on her Instagram Story and captioned the photo, “An angel on earth.” As Elle reports, the fellow singer reshared the story on her own account, writing, “That’s you.”
