Th8 had their privacy violated and faced online defamation

While interacting with fans at airports, a video of TH8 surfaced online in which fans walked into the idol’s private space and tried to record his personal information from his passport and joked about making it public. To this, TH8 reacted and pointed fingers towards the fans, to which netizens commented negatively. Carats immediately came to the idol’s rescue and proved that the video suddenly stops when he points the finger.

As if invading the singer’s privacy wasn’t enough, a popular X account accused TH8 of urinating on a shrine in Japan, reports Koreaboo. The idol’s fans did not ignore the accusations and defended him on social media platforms.

Th8’s agency responded to netizens’ concerns

Seventeen’s fans expressed their anger on social media platforms as misleading videos of both incidents surfaced online. Th8’s agency, Xing Can Sheng Shi Entertainment (China), responded to netizens’ concerns regarding the idol. According to Pinkvilla, the Chinese agency condemned the leak of these videos and assured fans that strict action will be taken against the leak of videos with malicious misinterpretation. The agency in an official statement stressed the legitimacy of protecting the idol’s personal information and asked for the removal of false content from social media accounts.
