In the video, Shaan is heard saying, “And nowadays people like these simple personal kind of minimalist songs.” Shaan is seen holding a guitar and humming indistinctly.
He added, “Matlab sabke tone aise hain na ke agar kuch zyada interest dikhaya diya toh shayad logon ka interest kam ho jayega. (Everyone’s tone is such that they should not show too much interest in a song, else people might lose interest).”
He said, “I’m singing it like that, if you like it then that’s great… and I checked the views for it and it’s almost 2 billion… times have changed. People like rawness and real authenticity. When we used to go to music companies and tell them I sing, they would give us feedback that it’s not that great, you need a little more training. If we sang like people today, we would be thrown out of the building.”
