A report in an online entertainment portal has claimed that Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan is flying to the US for an urgent eye surgery.
Entertainment news website Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as claiming that Khan underwent treatment at a Mumbai hospital for an eye problem on July 29. The treatment did not go as planned and hence the actor is being flown to the US to “repair the damage”.
Further details about the nature of the treatment and Khan’s condition are yet to be revealed.
Khan had earlier suffered a heatstroke in May while watching an Indian Premier League (IPL) match in Ahmedabad. The 58-year-old Khan had come to Ahmedabad to watch his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team play at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He was admitted to the city’s KD Hospital due to dehydration.
