New Delhi: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor paid an emotional tribute to veteran star Kamini Kaushal, who passed away on November 14, remembering her as a “wonderful soul” and praising her professionalism and warmth. Veteran actress Kaushal left an indelible mark on Indian cinema with a career spanning over seven decades.
Shahid, who shared screen space with Kaushal in the 2019 film ‘Kabir Singh’, recalled the experience of working with him as both a privilege and a joy.
Speaking to ANI he said, “She was a wonderful soul and it was a pleasure and a privilege to work with her.”

Reflecting on her legacy, he said, “She brought so much warmth and so much dignity to ‘Kabir Singh’ and she will always be remembered as a brilliant artist. When I worked with her, she was very sharp and she was very professional and she was very kind and warm. May her soul rest in peace.”
Kamini Kaushal’s last rites were performed on Saturday, with close family members present. Earlier, Kamini Kaushal’s mortal remains were brought to the crematorium from her residence in Mumbai. She was one of the leading actresses of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s of Indian cinema, where she shared the screen with superstars like Ashok Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar and legends like Raj Kumar and Dharmendra.

Meanwhile, Shahid and Tamannaah Bhatia turned showstoppers for Falguni Shane Peacock’s Futureverse of Fashion.
Sharing her experience of walking the ramp she said, “This is the second time I am walking for Falguni and Shane and I think their aesthetic is great, very attractive. It’s a great campaign for Blenders Pride and it’s always fun working with them. They are very, very good at what they do. They know what they are doing, their cuts, their fits, their styling is always on point.”
The famous star is not only in the capital for the event, but he is also busy shooting for his film ‘Cocktail 2’ with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
Sharing his experience he said, “Delhi is like home” and it is always fun to stay here.
“We are shooting for my film ‘Cocktail 2’. So here I am, Rashmika and Kriti, we are shooting here. So it’s great to be here. We are going to be here for a few more days. We have been here for almost five days now. And luckily, I am doing this event also on the same night.”
“Delhi is like home. I was born here. So whenever I come here… I have a lot of memories. It’s always a lot of fun coming to Delhi.”
Asked if he likes Delhi food, he laughed and said, “When I don’t have to walk the ramp, I taste the food. It’s a wonderful, wonderful experience.”
Shahid will also be next seen in ‘O’Romeo’.
