Shahid Kapoor, who attended a press event for the trailer launch of his upcoming film DevaSaif Ali Khan was asked to share his thoughts on the stabbing at his home.
Answering the question, Shahid Kapoor said, “This is a sad incident. We are all very worried. We hope that Saif’s health will improve soon. We are all quite shocked by this incident.”

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by an intruder who entered his Mumbai home on the morning of 16 January. The actor was taken to Lilavati Hospital. He is now out of danger.
The hospital said in a media briefing on Thursday afternoon that Saif Ali Khan had suffered a stab wound to his spinal cord and that he had repaired the leaking spinal fluid. Khan has two deep wounds on his hands and neck, which have been repaired with plastic surgery.
The hospital also said that the actor is now completely stable, recovering and out of danger.
Mumbai Crime Branch and local police have started investigation. NDTV has learned that the Mumbai Crime Branch has identified a suspect behind the attack.
Shocking information about the theft attempt has come to light. According to police sources, the intruder had jumped over the wall of the adjacent compound to enter the premises. Officials said the intruder was familiar with the layout of the building and used the stairs at the back of the building to reach the floor where the actor lives. Police said he then escaped from the fire and entered Mr Khan’s house.
She was first seen in the room of the actor’s younger son Jeh. Jeh’s maternal grandmother, Eliama Philip, said she first spotted the intruder around 2 a.m. and confronted him.
She said, “I saw the bathroom door slightly open and the lights on and assumed it was Kareena Kapoor. Soon I realized something was wrong and when I went to check, I saw a man come out of the bathroom And entered Taimur and Jeh’s room.” ,
The 56-year-old grandmother said that when she spoke to the man, he demanded Rs 1 crore. She was injured when she tried to fight him off, while another domestic help, Junu – who was in the same room – rushed to Mr Khan’s room and woke him up.
Saif Ali Khan then confronted the intruder and was attacked with a knife six times. Geeta, another domestic help, helped Mr Khan overpower the intruder and locked him inside a room.
According to police sources, while he was running away, he was captured in the CCTV camera installed on the sixth floor. However, there was no sign of him after that – he was not seen on CCTV in the lobby area. Sources said police suspect that he used the fire shaft to reach the ground floor and exited through the back door.
Mumbai Police has detained a suspect in this attack.
