Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed that he is going to do the next film King directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The superstar has been in the news for quite some time now for this film with daughter Suhana Khan and this will be her first film. Shah Rukh has now put an end to all the rumours by confirming that he is going to do the next film King.
Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Pardo alla carriera or Career Leopard, at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival. Talking about his next film, he said, “The next film I am doing is King. I have to start working on it, lose some weight, do some stretching.”
The Jawaan star said, “There are certain kinds of films that I want to do, maybe it’s about coming of age and I want to do something new. For 6-7 years I have been thinking about it and one day when we were sitting I spoke to Sujoy about it. He works with us in our office, he has made a few films for us. He said, Sir, I have a subject.”
King is reportedly the official remake of Shah Rukh Khan’s favourite film ‘Leon – The Professional’. The action thriller will see Shah Rukh Khan in a never seen before avatar and in fact with King Khan himself confirming the news, the wait is getting tougher.
The film reportedly stars Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. Abhishek will be seen playing the role of a villain and indeed this film is going to be the most awaited film for Shah Rukh Khan fans.
