Chennai: If industry sources are to be believed, Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan is going to shoot for superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor 2’ in March this year.
Sources in the unit say that only Shah Rukh Khan’s portion is left to be shot and the Bollywood star will start shooting his portion in the film in March this year. Once the shooting of Shahrukh’s portion is completed, which will be shot over a period of seven to eight days, the film will be scrapped.
Sources also say that Shahrukh Khan’s role in the film will be like an extended cameo.

Director Nelson Dilipkumar’s ‘Jailor 2’ has created huge anticipation among fans and film lovers for several reasons.
One of the major reasons is that ‘Jailor 2’ promises to be full of action and entertainment just like the first part, which turned out to be a blockbuster earning Rs 650 crore worldwide. ‘Jailor 1’, which received positive reviews, took a strong start. In fact, the film’s overseas distributor Ayyangaran International has confirmed that the film has earned a whopping Rs 33 crore on the very first day, which is the highest in superstar Rajinikanth’s career!
Sources close to the unit say that ‘Jailor 2’ is shaping up well on the lines of ‘Jailor 1’.
It is noteworthy that superstar Rajinikanth celebrated his 75th birthday last year on the sets of ‘Jailor 2’.
The shooting of the second part of ‘Jailor’ first started in Chennai. Production house Sun Pictures, which is producing the action entertainer, had announced that the shooting of the film had begun on March 10 last year.
The interest in the film peaked when Sun Pictures released an exceptionally interesting teaser which was both fun and thrilling.

Shortly after, actress Ramya Krishnan shared a story from the first day of shooting for the second part of the film, which was going on in Attappady, Kerala.
“26 years of Padayappa and the first day of shoot of Jailer 2,” he said.
In the film, Ramya Krishnan plays Vijaya Pandian alias Viji, the wife of Rajinikanth’s character Muthuvel Pandian.
Sources say that actress Mirna, who played Rajinikanth’s daughter-in-law Swetha Pandian in the film, will also have an important role in the sequel. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi have also shot for ‘Jailor 2’.
Anirudh, whose music played an important role in making the first part a blockbuster, is composing the music for the second part as well.
