New Delhi: Ajay Devgn’s Shaitan was one of the most successful blockbusters in recent times, even though it was made on a low budget. The film kept the audiences captivated and all the actors including R Madhavan did a fabulous job. And now it’s time for celebration for fans as the makers are all set to make a sequel to Shaitan.
Yes, you read it right. The shooting of Shaitan 2 is about to begin. As per a Bollywood Hungama report, the makers are keen to make a sequel after the great response it received at the box office.
The work on the script of Shaitan 2 has already begun and once the script is ready, Ajay will decide on the timeline for the film’s production. Since the film was one of the biggest hits of the year, the writers have made sure to put in every effort to make the best possible film. At the film’s launch, Ajay had expressed that he loves working in the genre and enjoyed shooting for the film, “It’s not that we don’t want to do horror films. If we get something interesting, why not? … I love this genre and I was waiting to explore it again. When I did ‘Bhoot’ we got a lot of appreciation, after that I haven’t got any good script in this genre”.
Ajay Devgn has proven to be one of the most successful actors in almost all the franchises and he will continue his success streak with the sequel. Currently, he has started shooting for his comedy-drama Son of Sardaar 2 with Mrunal Thakur.
Talking about the success of Shaitan, the film has earned Rs 211 crores at the worldwide box office and is a huge hit.
