New Delhi: The Shakesiman star Mukesh Khanna has played some prestigious roles in the past. He is known for speaking his mind and often his statements are viral on social media. Recently, he shared his views on Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming 2-Part mythological epic ‘Ramayana’, which included Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Khanna finds the fitting camphor in the bill uncertain about a boy with blue eyes and explains why.
Mukesh Khanna as Lord Ram on Ranbir
In an interview with Galata India, Mukesh Khanna said, “Chad chad karo you will fly. You are Yodha Bata Rahe, that Maryam Purushotam. A man against Ravana.”
On Ranbir Kapoor’s ability to play the role of Marida Purushottam Ram, he said, “From what I can see, I don’t know that Rambir Kapoor can pull Ram’s Maraida Purushottam image.
He also shared how he made a video to explain his objection to Ram’s portrayal in Ramayana: I got the introduction first and wanted to put it on social media. However, his team informed him that the scenes were AI-borne.
He also shared that he was contacted by a publication to comment on Ranbir’s entry of beef eating past, in which he said, “I would not comment on it. He might have eaten beef, but he would have left it. Let it go.”
Ramayana vs Edipurush
On Edipurush’s defeat and large -scale budget, Mukesh Khanna said, “There can be no big topic compared to the Ramayana. But I have seen how ‘Edipurash’ was poorly executed. If the same attitude is implemented, today’s Hindu will not forgive you.
Ramayana release
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, mythological adaptation star Ranbir Kapoor and promise to become a cinematic spectacle. Based on the ancient Indian epic, the film features a troop of a troops including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Kajal Aggarwal and Lara Dutta. The two-part epic story will be released on Diwali 2026 and 2027.
