Mumbai: Shanaya Kapoor, who made her acting debut with “Ankhon’s Gustakhyayan”, has opened up how his parents -father Sanjay Kapoor and mother Mahip Kapoor served as their most honest critics. In a special interview with IANS, when asked how his parents reacted to his debut, he explained that his father had always been a very honest critic.
During his preparation, whenever she shared her practice video with her, she reacted her directly – pointing to both areas that were necessary to improve her and the aspects she was doing well. Shanaya shared, “I mean, more than being nervous, my father is my very honest critic. Whenever I was preparing or sharing any video with him, he will always give me a very honest response – telling me what I need to work and what was my strength.
And if it is good, then I will also tell you. ‘They have always been very honest because they know that this industry is not forgiving, and I really have to work hard. “This is a one -time lifetime opportunity, and I feel very grateful and lucky that it is in my way. Now that it is, I have to take maximum advantage of it. I need to earn my place in this industry and win the acceptance of the audience. My parents understand that it will take time and a lot of hard work. Therefore, at home, they choose to be completely honest with me. As they always say, ‘If you are not ready, we have to tell you.’ They have been cruelly honest, even if it is not always easy to hear – because it is what I give for this industry. ,
Shanaya also shared her views on the responsibility coming with being an actor. He expressed, “You give it to the audience. When you are in front of it you give it to the camera. It is a blessing to be able to do something that will last forever. It is a real and beautiful feeling. Sometimes, after a scene is cut, after a scene is cut, you realize that what you did is captured forever – and this is a heavy view.”
He said that this is the reason that his parents have always been honest with him. “They had to be, and they are – and for that, I am really grateful,” he said.
