New Delhi: In a career spanning over two decades, Ghosh has consistently impressed audiences with her talent and adaptability.
Ghosh expressed her excitement about playing different roles including her latest character in the drama, saying, “I love playing every character I get. My latest role was in a fantasy drama where I played a negative character who could fly – something that is not possible in real life. In Sun Neo’s Saajha Sindoor, I play a stepmother with grey shades, which is quite different from the roles I have played before. It was a lot of fun and exciting.”
Sangeeta emphasises that the real challenge for her as an actor is to play roles that are completely different from her personality. “For me, the real challenge as an actor is to play roles that are completely different from my personality. Visualising these unique characters and bringing them to life is what makes acting special for me,” she adds.
The actress also spoke about the significant changes that have taken place in the industry over the last few years, which have helped her balance her work and personal life. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals, learn from them, and broaden her experience.
‘Sajha Sindoor’, airing every Monday to Saturday at 8:00 pm on Sun Neo, is the story of a young woman, Phooli, who becomes an unmarried widow after the death of her groom on her wedding day, and the various challenges she faces on her journey. The show features a talented cast of Ghosh, Sahil Uppal, Neelu Vaghela and Krutika Desai, who present a fascinating portrayal of emotions and relationships against the backdrop of the aristocracy of Rajasthan.
