Shatrughan Sinha, who made headlines for being hospitalised a few days after his daughter Sonakshi’s wedding, has shared his pictures on Instagram. In the pictures, he can be seen enjoying the high-voltage final match between India and South Africa in the T20 World Cup. Shatrughan Sinha can be seen surrounded by friends, family members and wife Poonam Sinha. The film veteran wrote an elaborate note congratulating Team India for their glorious win. However, he started the note with cryptic words referring to the various versions of his health condition. The actor-politician wrote, “Away from the ‘controversy and confusion’ created by some of our good friends on social media/YouTubers. The truth is that we are enjoying it with our family members, brothers and dear friends. Enjoying the most talked about international cricket match between #SouthAfrica and #India.”
He added, “It was great to see not just our beloved #AnushkaSharma but also the nation’s hero #ViratKohli becoming a ‘hero’. It was a great experience to watch the brilliant performances of #JaspritBumrah #HardikPandya #SuryaKumarYadav and of course everyone’s favourite and probably the one and only #RohitSharma. Congratulations and best wishes to our boys in blue for this magnificent win. Both the legends #ViratKohli and #RohitSharma took the bold and beautiful decision of retiring from T20 at the right time and paving the way for the next generation, it is indeed a great encouragement!”

On Monday, Luv Sinha dismissed rumours that the film veteran has undergone “a minor surgery”. “With regards to my father’s health I would like to clarify that there has been no surgical procedure, and no one should believe any unconfirmed reports. We took my father to the hospital for his annual check-up, and because he had high fever. Thanks to everyone who was concerned,” Luv Sinha wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). News of Shatrughan Sinha undergoing a minor surgery has been doing the rounds on social media.

Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha are parents to three children – Sonakshi and twin sons Luv and Kush. Shatrughan Sinha won this year’s Lok Sabha elections from the Asansol constituency in West Bengal.
