Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mother defends the mogul amid his arrest and allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering. Janice Combs recently released a statement that was shared by Figures Law on Instagram where she defended her son against all allegations of sexual assault against Diddy. The disgraced mogul is currently awaiting his trial which is expected to take place in early October.
However, Reddit users criticized the rapper’s mother for defending her son even after serious allegations and over 100 lawsuits were filed against him.

Janice Combs’ statement defending her son
In the statement, Janice said it was “heartbreaking” to her that people were judging her son “not for the truth, but for a story made of lies.” She also said that it felt like a “public murder” of her son, before “he got a chance to prove his innocence” and that the pain was “too unbearable to put into words.” She further added, “Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side and prove his innocence.”
She also told that her son is not perfect nor does she want to show anything like that. “He has made mistakes in his past, as we all have,” Janice said. “My son may not have been completely truthful about some things, such as denying that he had ever been violent with an ex-girlfriend, even though hotel surveillance revealed otherwise,” part of the statement. Redditors react to Janice Combs’ defense statement
Janice’s statement justifying and defending her son’s actions did not sit well with Reddit users. They heavily criticized him for his defense after the allegations and lawsuit, as one user wrote on the forum, “We literally watched him beat up Cassie on tape. I am extremely saddened by the fact that she raised a monster.”
Another user wrote, “Boy mom “try to hold your son accountable for his horrible actions” Challenge level: impossible.” “She probably needs to get tested too,” a third user wrote, to which another user replied, “I hope she does, and everyone else close to her.” There’s no way he doesn’t know what he’s been doing for 30 years.”
“Really hate the “none of us are perfect” defense because yet here I am not on trial for sex trafficking. Sorry, but where there’s smoke (abuse on video), there’s fire,” one user wrote. (More serious abuse over a longer period of time which was not recorded).” Another user wrote, “Some mothers will never hold their sons responsible. No matter what, they are absolute little angels. My ex-wife’s mother was a nightmare…”
