Shekhar Kapoor remembered Sridevi on the set of Shri India: ‘She was fiercely loyal’

New Delhi: Director Shekhar Kapoor moved to Memori Lane and recalled the late actor Sri Devi, with whom he worked in the classic film “Mr. India”.

Kapoor on Sunday shared a throbac picture with the actor characterized on his Instagram handle. It was from the first day of the film’s shoot. Calling him a star, Kapoor said that he was mesmerized by Sri Devi’s dance during the shooting of the film.

“This was my first day of the shoot with Sridevi. We were shooting a song in Mahabaleshwar. And when he started dancing to the world, we stopped for all.


The filmmaker mentioned how Sri Devi was “fiercely loyal” and was tall and ready to protect the film even when he was in “trouble”.

“There were other things about Sridevi, which are not talked about … that she was fiercely loyal … When the film got into trouble .. she takes any chance to save me .. Says how incredible I was .. She took herself to protect her director,” she wrote.
