The festive season is all about brightness, colors and embracing confidence. Be it Diwali, weddings, or year-end celebrations, this time of the year calls for makeup that is fresh, glowing, and full of fun. The key is balance – enhancing your natural features while keeping your look effortless and radiant.
Start with skin care – a clean, hydrated base is the foundation of every flawless makeup look. Start with a moisturizer and primer that suits your skin type so it’s easy to apply. Choose a light foundation or BB cream that will even out your complexion without feeling heavy. Add a light blush and a touch of highlighter to the high points of your face to add warmth and a festive glow.
Paridhi Khandelwal, founder of Love Earth, says, “For eyes, metallic, bronze, or champagne shimmer tones work beautifully for both day and night celebrations. Experiment with eyeliner — from soft, smoky kohl looks to sharp, winged styles — depending on your mood. Finish with a few coats of mascara for wavy, festive lashes. Finish with a few coats of lip color. Complete your look with a pop of color—bold red, subdued coral, or rosy pink—shades that instantly brighten your face and outfit.”

“Celebration makeup isn’t about transformation—it’s about elevation. A touch of sparkle on the eyes, a confident lip shade, and healthy, glowing skin can do wonders. The idea is to look like the best version of yourself while feeling comfortable and authentic.”
This festive season, let your makeup reflect your inner light – simple, bright and full of happiness.
Pariksha Jain, Founder, Ehsaas Jewellery, says, “Embrace simplicity with minimalism* Festive fashion doesn’t always mean doing everything. Sometimes, the look that catches all eyes is one that is thoughtfully elegant. As the festive season begins, it is the perfect time to explore some simple yet sophisticated pieces that give importance to quality, subtlety and timeless appeal. Minimalism in Fashion Sustaining or being green is not about doing less, but doing it. With intention.”
Instead of suffocating yourself with heavy jewelry, opt for minimal layering or beautiful silver accessories to elevate your look. Whether it’s a sleek bracelet, a delicate necklace, or statement earrings, a well-crafted piece can bring cool sophistication to any festive outfit. Silver, with its restrained charm, seamlessly combines with rich colors and traditional silhouettes. *simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
A single, beautifully designed piece can often say more than the entire set. It allows the wearer’s personality to shine, which is the essence of true beauty. Gone are the times when heavy jewelery took up all the space in your outfit. This season, focus on creating looks that feel light, luxurious, and personal. The look that makes you enjoy the festival instead of being worried. Let your jewelery complement your style, not overpower it. Choose minimalist silver or lightweight pieces that are crafted with care, making your festive wardrobe not only more versatile but also more meaningful.
Diwali fashion style of 2025 is definitely different than last year, with fashion moving towards effortless silhouettes, breathable fabrics and timeless details. I think people are choosing clothes that they can actually celebrate, move around and feel comfortable in, rather than just posing for photos.
Sandeep Sampla, Co-Founder of Saku shares festive tips for this Diwali 2025.
One change that I have noticed and the trend you should pay attention to this festive season is mixing tradition with modern elements. For example, you can pair a classic chanderi kurta with contemporary jewellery, or a silk dupatta with metallic heels. It’s all about balancing honoring your roots while still reflecting the woman you are today.
The colors this season are a mix of warmth and light, soft golds, deep rusts, sage greens and muted metallics. These tones compliment Indian skin beautifully and transition smoothly from day to night.
My biggest festival tip would be: don’t think too much about your outfit. Choose breathable fabrics like linen blends, chanderi, or tissue that offer mobility and comfort. Add a statement accessory, perhaps bold earrings or a striking bag and bring your outfit to life.
At the end of the day, the most stylish thing you can wear is ease and confidence. When you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing, it shows and that’s what really makes your look memorable.
