The Kochi City Police convinced the argument of actor Shine Tom Chacko to escape from a hotel in the city during inspection by the city police’s District Anti-Nashi-Nashi substance on the night of Wednesday (April 16, 2025).

He said, “We have taken steps to take information and follow -up action on the allegation of drug use on the film set. However, in Mr. Chacko’s statement, there were no specific details about the use of drugs on the film set,” he said.
The police chief said, “We cannot say that more allegations can be added against the actor in the case because the investigation is in the initial stage. If the investigation is a warrant, we will do so. A meeting of the investigating officers can also be held,” the police chief said.
Asked if the police is trying to track the drug pedaler, in search of which the Dansaf team inspected the hotel, Mr. Vimaladitya said, “Even otherwise, the police of the city was taking necessary action to monitor and work against the drug pedals.”

Mr. Chacko was arrested on Saturday under Section 27 (B) (consumption of any drug or psychotropic substance) and Section 29 (convicted for ability and criminal conspiracy). He was later released on bail.
