New Delhi: Debutants Ahaan Pandey and Aetit Padda have received the IMDB ‘breakout star stimmics’ award for their romantic hit “Siara”.
Under Mohit Suri direction, Pandey played the role of an emotionally complex musician, Krish Kapoor, while Padada plays the role of a budding journalist, Wani Batra, who performs Krish through writing songs. His romance and the challenges that come with it form the basic basis of “Sera”.
The pair received awards based on their performance on the ranking of popular Indian celebrities of IMDB, which measures the linkage of the platform’s global user base.
Since the romance-drama released on July 18, the pair topped the IMDB’s popularity rankings. Both stars have crossed India, both artists have landing in global top 100, Panda 64 and Pandey at 75.
Pandey stated that the award marks the first of his career and “the fact that it comes directly from the audience, makes it more special”. He also thanked Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra and Suri, whom he called “Best Conservator”.
