Sitare land cross -box office day 1: Aamir Khan’s film Miss Lal Singh Chafdha is inaugurated, is 6th among the top Hindi openers of 2025.

New Delhi: Amir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par, Taare Zameen Par’s spiritual sequel, on June 20, became a hit in theaters after much anticipation and getting a large extent positive reviews. According to Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par saw a strong start on its first day at the box office, which earned an estimated Rs 11.7 crore (India Net).

1 day, Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh starrer collected Rs 11.50 crore. However, it decreased by 1 collection on the day of Aamir’s previous film, Lal Singh Chafdha, which earned Rs 11.7 crore on its release day in 2022. In comparison, its predecessor Tare Zamin Paar opened back on its first day with Rs 2 crore.

Despite not topping Lal Singh Chafdha, Sitare Zamin Paar secured 6th position among the top day 1 opener for Hindi films in 2025.

The film recorded a composite Hindi occupation rate of 21.43% on Friday, 20 June. The night show attracted the most footfall. Although the initial number cannot be record-breaking, the film’s emotional story, favorable reviews, and the weekend is expected to further its performance.

By 9:22 am at day 2, Sitare Zamin Paar had earned an estimated (0.07 crore (Bharat Net) in all languages.

The film collected Rs 3.31 crore from advance booking, selling 115,344 tickets in 9,542 shows across the country. This was a modest yet honorable opening, especially given the limited number of early shows in the morning.

In comparison, Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna earned Rs 3.58 crore at the Indian box office at 1 pm on their release, watched a very strong opening. Built on a reported budget of ₹ 120 crore, Kubera has seen strong advance booking and stable footfall for initial show turnout.

The Taare Zamin Paar’s spiritual sequel Sitare Zameen Paar, an insensitive basketball coach, follows the story of Gulshan, which goes through a change as he coachs ten neurodivargant adults as part of his community service. Among the students, Sunil (Ashish Pendse), Satbir (Araush Dutta), Lotus (Ayush Bhansali), Sharma Ji (Rishi Shahani), Guddu (Gopikrishnan K. Verma), Raju (Rishabh Jain), Bantu (Simran), Gaulu (Simran) Hargovind (Naman Mishra).

The film is the official Hindi remake of Campon, a Spanish sports comedy-drama directed by Xavier Fesar.
