Mumbai: Jio Studios and Maddock Films have officially unveiled the much-awaited trailer for ‘Sky Force’, which is set to release on January 24, 2025, just in time for the Republic Day week.
This patriotic thriller promises to offer a compelling mix of high-octane aerial combat sequences, emotionally charged moments and a gripping narrative centered around one of India’s most daring military operations.
Starring Akshay Kumar and debutant Veer Pahadia in lead roles, ‘Sky Force’ offers a thrilling glimpse of India’s first and one of the deadliest air strikes on Pakistan.
The trailer sets the stage for an exciting journey filled with brave soldiers, heart-wrenching sacrifices and a spirit of patriotism.
Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapoor, ‘Sky Force’ tells the story of an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer, played by Akshay Kumar, who sets out on a mission of vengeance after several Indian soldiers are killed.
As tensions rise, Akshay’s character challenges conventional mindset, urging his superiors to take action and carrying out the country’s first air strike in retaliation.
In a powerful dialogue, he says, “Doosra gaal neta dikhta hain, hum fauji nahi,” (Another cheek is extended by political leaders, not soldiers).
In his debut, Veer Pahriya plays the role of another Indian Air Force officer who teams up with Akshay Kumar’s character to lead the mission.
However, as the operation intensified, Weir’s aircraft was shot down, and he was later reported “missing in action”.
The emotional impact of the mission is depicted through the character of Sara Ali Khan, who plays Veer’s wife, who anxiously awaits news of her husband’s fate.
Apart from the lead cast, actress Nimrat Kaur also plays an important role.
