Sofia Vergara revealed she felt “anxious” and insecure while filming sex scenes for the 2024 crime drama ‘Griselda’.
According to the US Sun, during a Netflix FYSEE event on June 2, the 51-year-old Emmy nominee shared the experience of shooting intimate scenes for the miniseries was one of the times she felt out of her comfort zone.
Portraying Griselda Blanco, the mastermind behind one of history’s most profitable drug cartels, Vergara depicts the complexities of the character’s life and death in ‘The Cocaine Godmother.’
“I don’t think I’ve ever done a sex scene,” he said, noting the absence of such scenes with co-star Ed O’Neill on “Modern Family.”
“I’m 50! I mean, when I was 30, I wouldn’t have worried. I guess I was worried I was going to look horrible.”

She admitted, “I was thinking, ‘Where are they shooting me? The cellulite? From the armpits.’ Ugh, I guess I’m arrogant. I think that picture kept me up.”
The Hot Pursuit actress admitted that the scenes “turned out well.”

Vergara’s ‘physical transformation’ was the ‘most difficult aspect of the entire show’
During the production phase, Baez highlighted Vergara’s “physical transformation” as “one of the most difficult aspects of the entire show”.
“This was in Miami in the ’70s and ’80s. It was very important for me to get the right look,” Vergara said.
“I had to disappear.”
“We had five wigs, from different time periods,” the Modern Family star’s hairstyle revealed.
“She’s wearing artificial eyebrow covers and fake eyebrows that have glue on them, a nose, and a plate of teeth that are slightly bent.”
