Mumbai: ‘Homebound’ actors Ishaan Khat, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa are on Cloud Nine as their film was selected as India’s official entry for Oscar 2026.
Taking his respective social media handle, the actor appeared to be full of pride and he was overwhelmed by celebrating a milestone. Ishaan Khat in a long note, excluded his heart and offered special shouts to the team.

Actor Vishal Jethwa reflected at the historic moment and said, “This moment seems absolutely real, it dreams of listening to every actor to listen to one day to listen to one day. Ghaywan’s ‘Homebound’ revolves around two childhood friends from a small northern Indian village, which chases a police job that promises him the dignity he has denied for a long time. But as they inch their dreams close to their dreams, the growing frustration has threatened the bond that puts them together.
The film is scheduled to release in Indian cinemas on 26 September.
