Son of Sardaar 2: Sanjay Dutt out of the film after his UK visa was rejected, this actor took his place

Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt has been dropped from Son of Sardaar 2 as the actor’s UK visa has been rejected due to his criminal record. Sanjay Dutt was a part of Son of Sardaar starring Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha. It is being said that Missing Ladies actor Ravi Kishan has replaced Sanjay Dutt in the film.

Son of Sardaar 2 stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead role and the first phase of shooting has already begun in Scotland UK, and Dutt was dropped from the film due to his visa being rejected in the 1993 bomb blast case. According to a Hindustan Times report, “Since his arrest in 1993, while Sanju has travelled to the US, he has applied for a UK visa multiple times but never got one. The shoot of Son of Sardaar 2 would have been his first trip to the UK. However, when Ajay’s team learnt that the senior actor’s visa request had been rejected, they replaced him with Ravi Kishan.”

Earlier, Sanjay Dutt’s film Housefull 5 also faced a similar problem as the entire cast had to shoot in the US, however, producer Sajid Nadiadwala took a wise decision and sent the entire cast to the US and allowed Dutt’s portion to remain in Mumbai.

Sanjay Dutt was arrested under TADA and Arms Act in 1993. He was later convicted for possessing illegal weapons and sentenced to 5-5 years in prison. The actor is a free man today and has no criminal charges against him.
