Sonakshi Sinha shared some lovely pictures from her honeymoon in the Philippines with husband Zaheer Iqbal on Tuesday evening. The Heeramandi star shared a slew of pictures in which the two can be seen having fun in the swimming pool, relishing some delicious food, etc. For the caption, Sonakshi wrote, “We celebrated one month of our marriage by doing what we needed to do the most – recover!!! This is not an ad, and no one asked us to post, but I can’t stop myself from sharing the amazing things we had at @thefarmatsanbenito in the Philippines. One week taught us what health really means, listening to your body and taking care of your mind. Waking up in nature, eating right, sleeping on time, detox treatments and lots of massages – feeling brand new.”
He further added, “Thank you to our amazing friends @nirvanachaudhary, @_rahulchaudhary_ and @varun.chaudhary who made sure we had this life changing experience and thank you to all the wonderful people who made our stay so comfortable – Preet, Raul, Dr. Joseline, Steffi, Cleo, detox man June and our main two – EJ and Nikka. Sonakshi Sinha also recently opened up about her father Shatrughan Sinha’s first reaction when she told him about her wedding plans. Sonakshi recalled that she was a little nervous and prompted Zaheer to initiate the conversation with her father. Contrary to her expectations, Shatrughan Sinha blessed Sonakshi and gave his approval to her choice. Speaking to Galta India, Sonakshi said, “I was a little nervous so I went up to him and sat with him. I know my father appreciates humour so I tried to take a very different approach. I sat down with full confidence and asked, ‘Don’t you worry, daughter not getting married?’ You don’t care? So I took the same approach. He said, ‘Of course, I ask mummy. Why what happened?’ ‘I ask your mummy. What happened?’ (I said) ‘I want to get married.’
Sonakshi further said, “He said, ‘Achcha, toh main dhoti hoon na’. I said, ‘No, I found it.’ He asked, ‘Achcha who is it?’ Then I told him about Zaheer and said that we have been together for such a long time, he makes me very happy and he is my best friend and so I had a very nice conversation with my father. I thought it would be very difficult but actually it was very easy.”
The couple got married on June 23 in the presence of their near and dear ones.
