New Delhi: Bollywood star and philanthropist Sonu Sood recently met para-athlete Sandeep, who travelled on foot from Haryana to Mumbai to meet the actor. Sandeep, who faces daily challenges due to his disability, travelled on foot for 12 days to fulfil his dream of meeting Sood.
This touching meeting was shared by Sood on social media, where he posted a video capturing the moment. In the video, Sandeep proudly showed off one of his international medals that he had won earlier. Sood honoured Sandeep once again by presenting him with the medal, praised his achievements and said, “Bahut chamcha kaam hai bhai. Always be happy and keep doing great work for the country.” Sood also expressed his intention to visit Sandeep’s house in Haryana for a meal during his next visit to the state.
Sandeep shared the hardships he faces as a disabled athlete, including challenges in basic tasks like using the toilet. Despite these obstacles, his determination to meet Sood remained unwavering. During the meeting, Sood also posed for a photo with Sandeep and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
On the professional front, Sonu Sood is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Fateh’. The cyber-crime thriller, which marks Sood’s directorial debut, is set to release on January 10, 2025. Produced by Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Naseeruddin Shah alongside Sood and promises to have high-octane action sequences.
