Sridevis on the 62nd birth anniversary, Boney Kapoor leaves an emotional post for late wife

Mumbai: It has been seven years when the world has lost Sridevi, but her legacy and attraction are still alive in the hearts of her millions of fans. Today, on her 62nd birth anniversary, family, friends and fans recalled the famous actress.

Sridevi, who was celebrated as the first female superstar of Indian cinema, had a unique career in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. His untimely passing in 2018 led to a zero in the industry, but his work and memories continue to inspire.


Her husband, filmmaker Boney Kapoor, who shared his heartfelt tribute. Still posting Sridevi from her film English Vinglish on Instagram, she expressed how she is young in her heart forever. Even today, calling him “26”, he wrote, “Yes, you are not 62 today. You are 26 years old. Happy birthday; we are still giving relief to all your happy birthdays.”

He later shared another post, where he reminded of a birthday party since 1990. In the post, she recalled how, with a pull smile, she told Sridevi that she was changing “26”, even though she was actually 27 that was to make her laugh.

In the caption of the post, it was written, “In 1990, when I wished her 26th birthday in Chennai, her 27th birthday was, to feel that she had become small and it was a praise that she was getting smaller with every passing day, but she taught that I teach her”


Fans quickly filled the comments with love and praise. One wrote, “Always in our hearts,” while the other remembered her as the only female superstar. We remember you, legend. ”

In a career spread over five decades, Sridevi was awarded several prestigious awards and was also awarded India’s fourth largest civilian honor in 2013. The actress made her acting debut at the age of four with the 1967 Tamil film Kandhan Karunai. Later, in 1972, she made her first appearance in Bollywood with the film ‘Rani Meera Naam’.

She went to leave an indelible mark on her fans, including many prestigious roles in Hindi films ‘Chandni’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Mr. India’, ‘Chalbaaz’, ‘Nagina’, ‘Sadma’ and ‘English Vinglish’. Her last film was ‘Mom’, for which she also received the Best Actress National Award posthumously.

She married Boney Kapoor in 1996. The couple had two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, who are now following the footsteps of their mother chasing the acting career in Bollywood.
