Mumbai: Chapter Suman has opened about the struggles he faced in the film industry, revealing that rejections and failures were a constant part of his journey despite being a star kid.
In a recent interview with IANS, actor-singer admitted that his offspring did not leave him from the harsh realities of Bollywood. Addressing the long-term debate of nepotism, Shiran Suman considered how the perception is that Star Kids are guaranteed success, it is far from reality. In his journey, he has tolerated rejection, failures and moments where he was fully written.
The actor shared, “Yes, I come from a film family, but the truth is that no one has entrusted me anything on a silver plate. My father and mother have given me emotionally support, but every audition, every meeting, every occasion, every opportunity, every occasion – I think the success of a star kids is guaranteed.”
Suman further admitted that the film and music industry had traditionally been male-dominated, especially when it comes to representation and equal opportunities. However, he believes that change is gradually happening but continuously, thanks to filmmakers who are committed to tell more balanced stories. She particularly praised Sanjay Leela Bhansali for her progressive approach to women characters.
“It is true that the gender imbalance in the industry has occurred – especially in the context of salary and opportunities. But changes. Filmmakers such as Bhansali sir are Pioneers. They do not only put women in the lead roles.
Talking about its upcoming project, the chapter revealed, “I have 4 films and 6 songs this year.”
Chapter Suman is the son of veteran actor Shekhar Suman and producer Alka Suman. He starred in 2008 with “Haal -E -Dil”. After this, he continues to have his second film, “Raaz – the Mystery.”
